  • COMING SOON!Explore places, combine items, and experience stories in Adventure Games, a series of co-operative games from German publisher KOSMOS. In each of these titles, players are presented with a mysterious story that they must unravel over the course of play. Working together, players explore common areas, talk to people, look for clues, and combine various items to reveal the secret of the story. Depending on what decisions the players make, the course of history changes and there is no going back!Unlike the co-operative EXIT: The Game series, titles in this series focus on the telling and discovery of the story with no time pressure. That said, many different paths can be experienced during play, with more than one correct resolution to the story waiting to be discovered. Each title consists of three chapters, each taking about 75 minutes to play. Nothing is destroyed, so the games can be played multiple times. In Monochrome Inc., players have been instructed to break into the research building named in the game's title, and once they get inside this tower's mirrored windows, they are left on their own. What they find there, what conclusions they draw from these items, and how this nerve-wracking story ends is entirely in their hands. Only by co-ordinating their team will they avoid potential pitfalls, carry out their mission, and solve the mystery of this building.

  • INGENIOUS

    £28.00
Hexagonal Tile GameThink outside the square! Ingenious is an abstract tile-placement game in which the players take turns placing tiles in the shape of two connected hexagons into a hexagonal grid on the board. Each tile has two coloured symbols on it. Players earn points in a specific colour for each line of matching coloured symbols that they extend when they place a tile. A player's score is equal to his or her lowest-scoring colour, not his or her highest. The game includes 120 domino-style tiles, each consisting of two hexagons connected along one side. Each hexagon has one of six coloured symbols in it, with most tiles having two different coloured symbols and some having two of the same coloured symbol. Each player has a rack with six tiles on it. During his or her turn, each player places one tile from his or her rack onto two empty hexagonal spaces on the game board. For each of the two hexagons composing this tile, the player scores one point in the hexagons colour for each already-placed hexagon of the same colour that radiates outward in a straight line from one of the placed hexagons five sides. If a players score in a colour reach 18, he or she immediately takes another turn. At the end of the turn, the player refills his or her rack to six tiles. When no more tiles can be placed on the game board or when one player reaches 18 in each colour, the game ends. Players then compare their lowest score , and whoever has the highest low score wins.Ingenious includes rules for solitaire and team play. This highly awarded, international bestseller has been redesigned with a plastic board.2-4 players

  • WORD SLAM

    £28.00
“EAT, YELLOW, CIRCLE. Do you mean pancakes? Or pineapple rings?” “Oh wait, the CIRCLE is DIVIDED? So something that you eat that is yellow and semicircular? Uh, is it, maybe ... a banana?” “Yes, the answer is banana! One point for the Blue Team!” In Word Slam, two teams each have a storyteller. The two storytellers are given the same answer term. Playing at the same time, they must give clues to their teams so the teams can correctly guess the answer. And they must do this quickly, because they are racing the timer and each other. But it’s not that easy. Speaking and acting is absolutely forbidden for the storytellers! They must tell their stories using only 105 cards, each with one word on it: a noun, verb, adjective, or preposition. The storyteller must be creative in using this limited vocabulary to tell the story. And the team members must think quickly and nimbly to interpret the story cards. The team that correctly guesses the answer first gets a point, and the team with the most points at the end of the game wins. It’s like charades, but instead of acting, you can only communicate with word cards!3+ Players
